The reclusive singer has revealed that she is too focused on the new material to hit the road, but she has almost finished writing her new album.
Despite early rumours that she could be ready to make a return to live performance, Kate Bush has revealed that she has no plans to perform live again.
The singer was talking to BBC 6 Music when she said she was “too engrossed” in writing new material to consider going on tour.
“I haven’t got any plans to do any live shows whatsoever. I’m too engrossed in trying to make new material,” she said. “I’m extremely flattered that people are interested.”
The last time Bush went on tour was back in 1979, which was actually the only time the reclusive singer has ever hit the road. Last month she had hinted that wanted to play some more live shows before she “became too ancient.”
She had almost completed the writing process of a brand new album, which would follow on from her recently released “Directors Cut” album which used re-recorded material from her Sensual World and The Red Shoes albums.
